It’s weird, for an audition, I never felt like I was competing for anything. They treated us to a crepe “date” a few hours before the audition, gave us Ben and Jerry’s, joked the whole time, and sang with us for most of the songs. The group was amazing, and if this is as far as my a cappella journey goes this semester, I will still feel extremely grateful to have experienced even just the auditioning process. Free ice cream and crepes! Why everyone doesn’t audition, I don’t understand.
