#50. Strike up a conversation with a stranger on the bus.

Usually sketchy I know. In this case though, the stranger was an adorable, little old lady named Clara, who I couldn’t help myself from speaking to.

When I sat down beside her, she smiled sweetly at my Starbucks cup, remarking that she had gotten one herself just yesterday. From there, we moved on to discussing college life, a trip she took to Africa, the bus, her upcoming job interview, and various other topics. In the short fifteen minute bus ride, Clara turned my – otherwise dreary – day entirely around.

“Okay sweetheart,” she said when we pulled up to my stop. “Good luck to you. I will have you in my prayers this week.” I got off the bus feeling grateful and grinning widely. And you will definitely be in mine.
